Grant McDowell

Grant McDowell currently serves as Legal Center Deputy Director of the Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School, Charlottesville, VA.  He previously served for over sixteen years as an active duty Judge Advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps, including as Vice Chair and Professor at the Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School; Deputy Staff Judge Advocate of the First Marine Division; and Staff Judge Advocate at Al Taqaddum, Iraq.  He also currently serves as Lieutenant Colonel in the Marine Corps Reserves.

Grant McDowell participates in the Arizona State University International Lawfare and Security Program in his personal capacity. His views do not represent the official policy or position of the Legal Center, the Department of War, or the U.S. Government.
