Law 768: International Business Transactions (Professor Orde F. Kittrie)
This course is designed to provide students with both an introduction to the laws relevant to international business transactions and an understanding of how the U.S. government is using those laws (including tariffs) to achieve a variety of national security, domestic economic, and other policy objectives, particularly vis a vis the U.S.’s leading rivals, the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation. American trade lawyers, and the companies they advise, need to understand and wrestle with this complex (and fast-evolving) picture. The U.S. government's aggressive regulation of international business transactions has made this a field in which U.S. and foreign companies are hiring thousands of attorneys and other risk and compliance management professionals.
